Commenting Guidelines

Coups’n’Things recognizes that the field of international relations encompasses a diverse range of ideas and opinions. We do not expect everyone to agree with all (or even a majority) of the posts on this blog, however, we do acknowledge that debate is a valuable tool for further investigating, clarifying and refining thought processes. We, therefore, encourage commenting that presents constructive criticism and disagreement as well as alternative ideas on international relations. However, we also will not tolerate abusive or offensive commenting, which includes racist, sexist, homophobic, etc. insults directed at contributors and other blog participants. Not only are these types of comments offensive but they also assist in undermining your argument. Coups’n’Things reserves the right to screen and delete such comments without warning (although we will always try to provide an explanation).
